Where to get support

A comprehensive range of free, friendly and confidential support is available from the Greenwich Stop Smoking Service via:

 

Your GP practice

Pharmacist

You can book support for up to six weeks with a stop smoking advisor.

 

Pharmacies

Please note that from April 2015, selected pharmacies with Greenwich are now able to offer Varenicline (Champix) as an extension to their Stop Smoking Service. 

They also offer up to six weeks of support and the larger pharmacies are often open during evenings and weekends.

Drop-ins

Call in to one of our stop smoking clinics run in local leisure centres, libraries and community centres - no appointment necessary! 

  • Tuesdays 10:00-17:00: Valley Central, Charlton Athletic Football Stadium
  • Wednesdays 10:00-17:00: Eltham Centre
  • Thursdays 10.00 - 12.00: Coldharbour LibraryName
  • Thursdays Midday-19:00: Thamesmere Leisure Centre
  • Thursdays 17:00-19:00: Valley Central, Charlton Athletic Football Stadium
  • Fridays 10.00-15.00: Clover Health Centre
  • Saturdays 11:00-15:00: Woolwich Centre Library

Please note, drop-ins will be closed from 20th December - 4th January. 

Support if you are pregnant or a new mum

Free support from our stop smoking Specialist if you're pregnant or a new mum at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Stop Smoking Clinic. We can also measure the levels of carbon monoxide present. Your antenatal clinic and some Children's Centres also have stop smoking advisors for pregnant women and new mums. Check with your local Children's Centre to find out when these sessions run or see details below for when to visit our Specialist in the stop smoking clinic.

Every Thursday and Friday, Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Greenwich holds a stop smoking clinic for anbody who wants FREE one to one support to quit smoking. 

Location: Outpatients Department, Area B
